1. What Maci IsMaci is an AI-powered phone assistant service that answers calls, takes messages, captures leads, books appointments, and handles simple customer questions 24/7. It uses artificial intelligence to sound natural (including Kiwi accents), but it is not a human and may sometimes make mistakes.The service is for normal business use only. It is not suitable for emergency calls, legal/medical/financial advice, or handling very sensitive personal information.

 

2. Using the Service

  • You must give us accurate information when you sign up.

  • Keep your login details safe. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.

  • Use Maci only for lawful purposes and follow New Zealand laws.

  • Do not use it for spam, harassment, illegal activities, or trying to copy/reverse-engineer our technology.

  • You must have permission from callers to record calls if recording is turned on.

 

3. Payments

  • Prices are shown on the website (e.g. Starter $99/month, Professional $299/month, Enterprise custom – in NZD).

  • Payments are monthly in advance by credit card (or other methods we offer).

  • Fees are non-refundable except as stated in our Refund Policy.

  • If you go over your included minutes, extra charges may apply.

  • We can change prices with at least 30 days’ notice (via email or website).

 

4. Call Recording

  • Calls may be recorded for quality, training, and improvement purposes.

  • An automated message may play at the start of calls (e.g. “This call is handled by AI and may be recorded”).

  • You are responsible for following New Zealand recording laws and getting any required consents.

 

5. Your Data and Privacy

  • You own the information you give us (e.g. call scripts, business details).

  • We handle your data according to our Privacy Policy.

  • We may use anonymised (non-personal) data to make the AI better.

  • Do not enter sensitive personal information unless you have proper safeguards.

 

6. Ownership and Licence

  • We own Maci, the AI technology, software, and outputs (except the information you provide).

  • While your subscription is active, we give you permission to use the service for your business.

. No Guarantees / Limits on Liability

  • The service is provided “as is” – we do not promise it will be perfect or error-free.

  • We are not responsible for lost profits, data loss, or any indirect/consequential damage.

  • Our total responsibility to you is limited to the fees you paid in the last 12 months.

 

8. Ending the Service

  • You can cancel your subscription anytime (access stops at the end of your current billing period).

  • We can stop or suspend your access if you break these terms, don’t pay, or misuse the service.

  • You must pay any outstanding fees when you cancel.

 

9. Governing Laws

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be handled in New Zealand courts.

 

10. Changes to These TermsWe may update these terms. If we make important changes, we will tell you by email or on the website. Continuing to use Maci means you accept the updated terms.
